RESUMO | ABSTRACT
RESUMO: A Educação tem sofrido inúmeras transformações ao longo do tempo, e com elas novas formas de ensinar e aprender tem sido utilizadas dentro do contexto escolar. Nesse sentido, cada vez mais as tecnologias têm sido aliadas do processo de aprendizagem pois possibilitam que os estudantes de qualquer lugar do mundo ou de qualquer classe social, tenham contato com informações e maneiras de aprender prazerosas e ricas em seu potencial inovador. Assim, a presente pesquisa caracteriza-se como uma pesquisa-ação, de cunho qualitativo em que busca-se dar um tom analítico e interpretativo aos resultados colhidos, por meios de observação, registros em caderno de campo, filmagens e fotografias. Busca-se dessa forma, discutir a eficácia da ferramenta Google Maps para a compreensão de conceitos científicos de mapa, espaço geográfico, território, localização geográfica e assim contribuir com o processo de Alfabetização Científica dos alunos desde os anos iniciais da Educação Básica. Os resultados obtidos nos levam a acreditar que o uso da tecnologia e do recurso Google Maps, contribuiu significativamente para a facilidade na aquisição de conceitos científicos dentro da área de Geografia assim como pode ampliar as possibilidades de compreensão de mundo por parte dos alunos.
ABSTRACT: Education has undergone numerous transformations over time, and with them new ways of teaching and learning have been used within the school context. In this sense, increasingly, technologies have been allied to the learning process because they enable students from anywhere in the world or from any social class to have contact with information and ways to learn pleasurable and rich in their innovative potential. Thus, the present research is characterized as an action research, qualitative in that it seeks to give an analytical and interpretative tone to the results obtained, by means of observation, records in field notebook, filming and photographs. In this way, we discuss the effectiveness of the Google Maps tool for the understanding of scientific concepts of map, geographic space, territory, geographic location and thus contribute to the process of Scientific Literacy of students since the early years of Basic Education. The results obtained lead us to believe that the use of technology and the Google Maps feature contributed significantly to the ease of acquiring scientific concepts within the area of Geography as well as to increase the possibilities of world understanding on the part of the students.
